My 62nd birthday is only a few days away. I don’t have any plans to celebrate being 62. I am very fortunate to enjoy good health. Most people think that I look a little younger than my age. Just about everyone that I know agrees that I don’t act my age. I enjoy hanging out with people who are 10 to 20 years younger than me because they make me feel younger. So many folks my age are beginning to act and think like old people.

I am definitely up for some adventure this year. Right now my plan is to spend a week or so with my little sister, LuAnne and her husband Ray in Leesville, SC and then head to Pinehurst, NC to attend a special Barbershop week-end. On the 19th of January I will be heading down to Fort Meyer, Florida to spend some time with my older brother Michael and his wife Linda.  While I am in South Carolina and Florida I will be mapping out my next location. I plan to remain flexible and will be contacting folks across the country to see where I might be welcomed.

As long as my health remains good and my mini-van continues to run like it does now I will remain on the road. At least until the spring of 2015.

Follow this blog and I’m certain that you will learn more about me than you really want to know. Thank you for your interest!

  1. What a fun itinerary! Free falling! Should be an interesting life and read for those of us living vicariously through you!

  2. In response to your recent statement about old “folks” . You do know that nobody over the age of 40 uses the word “folks”…..right?
